We are using a program known as "Zoom " (online meeting software) for our online services.

To access the service - we will be sending out a link via email, and in the Facebook group.

The first time you click this link it will ask you to download a small piece of software (this is a free download) - If you would prefer to download this program onto your computer prior to Sunday, you can do so by simply clicking on this link and follow the instructions on the screen:

How to download Zoom and Use Zoom.

Zoom is a "cloud-based" video conferencing service that can be used to "virtually" meet with others in a "live streamed connection" - when you connect, you will be given a choice of selecting to connect either by video, or audio-only, or both. Please not that this will then be a "live chat" session - and it lets you record those sessions to view later.

To access the zoom meeting - you will either have received an email and clicked the link inside; clicked the link above, or clicked a link in the TCBC Facebook group.

After clicking on one of the links - it will open a webpage in your internet browser. If you have never used Zoom before it will request you download a very small piece of software to run it. (If you are accessing off a phone, tablet or ipad - it will request you download the Zoom app.)

The download should start automatically. These screenshots have been taken in the Chrome Browser, your browser may look different.

In Chrome, a popup appears showing you where the download has started. (Number 1 Arrow)

If you do not see a downloaded file for some reason - click the "download here" link (Number 2)

Once the download has finished - click the download.

The installer should now begin installing the program. (See Image 1 below)

NOTE: Depending on your computer settings - you may also see one more popup appear asking "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" Click Yes (See image 2 below - your computer may look slightly different.)

Once the installer has finished - it will then bring up a screen where you can put in your name. See image below.

Next the software will ask you what audio conference options you would like.

  • You can join using your computer audio (See number 1 below)

  • You can join by calling in on your phone if you would just like to listen. (See number 2)

  • You can also test your speakers and microphone before you enter (See number 3 below)

You should now see the host of your meeting on your screen!

We've set it up so that everyone will enter with their microphone muted.

There is NO expectation for people or get on video if you do not want to.

PLEASE remember if you do have a webcam - that people can see you!

  1. Mute or Unmute your microphone - We have made it so that only the person hosting can mute or unmute people.

  2. Start / Stop Webcam / video.

  3. Invite another person.

  4. See the participants

  5. Hosts can also share their screen.

  6. Chat - currently we have this setting so that it is a general chat area, where EVERYONE can see what is typed. We will change this if needed.

  7. If you want to leave the meeting at any time - you can do that via here. (you can come back by clicking the link.)

  8. Enter the full screen mode if you would like to.
